MSU officials this week became aware of a campaign called “WTF MSU” that included social media publicity and chalkings/paintings across campus. Police began an investigation into possible vandalism, as well as into concerns expressed by members of the MSU community about the campaign.
Police on Sept. 27 met with representatives of the student government organization ASMSU, the group behind the marketing campaign, and quickly determined there was no threat to campus safety nor intended vandalism. The campaign revolves around an effort to improve services on campus. ASMSU representatives agreed the organization would cover any clean-up costs.
